A new method using a water proof meter with built in photo cell and reagent delivery device (test strips) was presented at the 5th Annual World Aquatic Health™ Conference in Colorado Springs October 17th.
Our president and founder, Ivars Jaunakais traveled to Colorado last week. He presented a new method for pool water testing at the annual World Aquatic Health Conference using our new eXact® Micro 7+ photometer. The eXact® Micro 7+ photometer is designed to quickly and accurately determine water chemistry. The Micro 7+ reads directly: Total Alkalinity; Bromine; Calcium Hardness; Free Chlorine; Total Chlorine; Copper; Ozone; pH and Transmission. Additionally, in transmission the meter tests for: Ammonia; Chloride; Chlorine Dioxide; Cyanuric Acid; Iron; Low Range Total Hardness; Manganese; Nitrate; Nitrite and Turbidity.
The eXact® Micro 7+ is EPA-compliant for Free and Total Chlorine regulatory testing. His presentation gave data that supported the accuracy of the test strip reagent delivery device (eXact® Strip Micro DPD-1), against the HACH® DR890 powder pillow system with a correction coefficient of 0.9998. The meter provides fast results (uses 20 second test method) at 0.01 resolution. The Micro 7+ is ideal for compliance testing of pool & spa water because there is no cell or test tube to handle. The meter uses a safe, quick, accurate and easy to use stable delivery device in a non-technical procedure. We’ll post video of his presentation soon and you’ll be amazed at how quick and accurate our meter performed.
