High levels of contaminants found in New England groundwater

West Texas town has badly tainted well water

The residents of Midland, Texas are battling well water contaminated with hexavalent chromium, a known human carcinogen. It’s the same carcinogen found in Hinkley, California’s water that environmental activist Erin Brockovich successfully fought.
