Arsenic Quick™ for wood field testing is a quick, easy, field test kit that can confirm the presence of inorganic arsenic in wood. Arsenic Quick™ 481396-W kit is a modification of the US Patented, ETV Verified arsenic test for drinking water. This 10 minute test readily confirms the absence or presence of arsenic in any wood sample, including CCA treated lumber using safe reagents. IT also detects the presence of 1 μg of inorganic arsenic with a yellow to brown coloration of the reacted test strip. Because the arsenic presence in aged wood can not be detected at the surface of the wood the test procedure recommends that a 1/4" drill bit is used to collect a 1/2" drilled sample from the wood. This drilled sample is added to the reaction bottle for analysis.

QuickTM Arsenic tests were developed with considerations for safety, sensitivity easy-of-use, and speed.
Safety has not been compromised for convenience in the Arsenic Quick family of arsenic field test kits. All reagents are in powder form and have been carefully selected to minimize the hazards associated with conventional arsenic testing. All components needed to accurately detect and measure arsenic are included in a portable ready-to-use kit.
Our easy to follow test procedure requires only three reagents and as little as 12 minutes to perform. Reagents are clearly labeled and color coded to make arsenic testing error free. A colorimetric test strip is used to take the guesswork out of accurate arsenic measurement. The matching color chart is thoughtfully printed with extra large color blocks and contrasting colors for quick and accurate determinations.
The patented (6,696,300) and patent pending test kits have five formats available to suit any testing requirement. Our standard Arsenic QuickTM test kit detects 5 ppb (μg/L) of arsenic in 12 minutes. For added sensitivity, use the Low Range Arsenic QuickTM kit to detect arsenic concentrations of 2 ppb (μg/L) in 12 minutes. The Arsenic Econo-QuickTM kit is our latest addition with 300 tests per kit at a low price and a detection level of 10 ppb (μg/L) with a quick 12 minute test time. For single use, retail sale, and evaluation, a 2-test Arsenic QuickTM kit is also offered.
